ユキノシタ
ユキノシタが咲いています。古くから栽培され、人里近くの日陰に見られるユキノシタ科の多年草です。５枚の花弁のうち、下の２枚が大きく、ユニークな形をしています。葉はふつう赤味を帯びるようですが、不二聖心の個体は白い葉が多いと思います。
"Yukinoshita (ユキノシタ)" plants are in bloom. They are a perennial plant in the Saxifragaceae family that grow near human settlements because they have been cultivated for generations. They bloom unique flowers that have five petals, with the two lower ones being noticeably long. Their leaves are typically reddish, but the ones on campus seem to be mostly white to me.

オニマタタビ
オニマタタビの花が咲いています。マタタビ科の落葉つる性木本で、別名のキウイフルーツのほうが一般的です。果樹として栽培されていたものが逸出、野生化したものが分布を広げているようです。雄木と雌木に分かれており、写真の個体は雄木のため、残念ながら果実はできません。
"Oni-Matatabi (オニマタタビ)" trees are in bloom. They are deciduous woody vines in the Actinidiaceae family and are known by a more familiar name, kiwifruit. Cultivated ones have spreaded into the wild. Oni-Matatabi has separated male and female plants. The one in the photo is male, so unfortunately it won't bear fruit.

クモキリソウ
クモキリソウが咲いています。樹林内に生えるランのなかまです。花はユニークな形をしており、和名はこの花をクモにみたてたものという説もあります。
"Kumokirisou (クモキリソウ)" plants are in bloom. They are an orchid that grows on forest floors. Their flowers have a unique shape, which is thought to be one of the possible origins of their name.
